Reviving chocolate milk

Next time you do a hard workout forget chugging down a load of expensive chemical gloop recovery drink and just blend up a glass of ice cold chocolate milk. It has everything you need – protein, carb, vitamins and minerals, all in the perfect ratio.

Ingredients
  • 400ml whole milk, preferably unhomogenised, such as Duchy from Waitrose or Jersey Milk
  • 1 tbsp of quality cocoa powder, or melt 35g of dark chocolate and blend it in, but you’ll need a bit more ice!
  • 1 tsp of sugar (don’t panic, you’ll live!)
  • a few ice cubes
Instructions
Stick it all in the blender and whizz.

Listen to your muscles shout in delight as their mouths drink in all that reviving goodness. “Down with gloopy shakes” they cry!
