Five minute tomato couscous

Good when you’re about to do a long or hard training sesh and need easy-on-the-tum carbs in quick-sharp time! Let’s not get snobby about using a jar of sauce, this one is natural. Carbs are good right before and after training so let’s not bash ’em.
Serves: 1 • Prep: 5 mins • Easy 
  • half a jar of Waitrose Napoletana sauce with cherry toms – as shown
  • 100g of couscous
  • boiling water
  • salt and black pepper
  • lob some grated cheese on if you wish
Make the couscous as instructed on the packet. Can add a stock cube to the boiling water – use Kallo.

Stir in the tomato sauce – you don’t even have to warm it up.

Add plenty seasoning, and a bit of cheese if using.

You are now fuelled with something that is not going to turn your stomach into a cement mixer or cause any bush-stops.
